Objective of Writing the Book
The world is going through turbulent change. Chaos rules our lives and creates the stress making human life unbearable. Having been part of the corporate world for the last fourteen years a thought always overcame me how could I contribute to build a better place where human beings could live in harmony.
The book is an effort in the journey of creating a better world where human beings are able to understand each other better and are able to bring the joy in pure existence.
During my last tenure of six years as a Talent Sourcing Head, I observed that every individual with whom I interacted irrespective of whether he /she is working in a small/medium or large multinational company was looking for a job change. Reasons including – incompatibility with seniors, lack of facilities, poor working conditions and low salary package. The job being target oriented, my ultimate aim was to close positions and keep my esteemed clients as well as the candidates happy. Within a month of joining their choice of organization, he/she would revert back again desperately for a job change. That was the triggering point.
It would be unethical to shift candidates from one organization to another as I had maintained a great rapport with my esteemed clients. Hence with this realization, I went into deep research on human behavior and it was found that the crucial element was mismatch of mindset of those candidates to their job profile. One more reason being the mismatch of the mind set of the employee and their respective boss.
Understanding the mindset is a crucial aspect which each individual should undertake especially when he or she is running an organization, institute or a family. With extensive research on Human Behaviour and with my own personal experience in the field of Human Resources ,I was able to capture the fine elements which differentiate people.
The findings in my years of involvement in my profession helped me to articulate incidences and present them in a manner where the reader can easily integrate it to his or her own very experiences.
The book using the AGPL formula highlights eleven types of mindsets that exist in the entire human spectrum and how each type function differently in their work settings. Knowing their core mindset will help individuals come to terms with their fellow human beings and will enable them to understand why they behave in the manner they do.
It captures behaviour of different mindsets in the form of twenty two case studies across thirteen industry sectors including :
Manufacturing
Engineering
Service
FMCG
Human Resource and Consulting
Home Furnishing
Retail
Fashion
Training
NGO
Media and Advertising
Investment and Insurance
Interior Designing and Architecture
The book will be useful for CEOs, leaders, decision makers and HR professionals, of any organization responsible for hiring /recruiting resourceful people.
It will also enable students and every individual to make a right career choice keeping their core mindset in mind.
